The perpetual onion (lit cepa) is an alliaceae to have in your vegetable garden to have onions in abundance with less effort.

The green stems are edible and produce bulbs in the fall. The bulbs bend the stem and allow onion plants to multiply effortlessly.

Unlike the onions that are traditionally grown, this onion produces new bulbs underground around the mother onion.
